| Forms | When you send a form (contact, careers, downloads, updates), we receive what you enter by email so we can reply. Forms are protected from spam with Cloudflare Turnstile. |

| Newsletter | If you subscribe, we keep your name and email to send updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or use the unsubscribe page. |
| Analytics | We use Matomo, running on our own server, to count visits and see which pages lead people to contact us. It sets no cookies, doesn’t track you across other sites, and the data isn’t shared with anyone. We record form submissions, phone and email link clicks, and “Start a project” clicks, but not what you type into a form. |
| Comments | When visitors leave comments we collect the data in the comment form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it (Gravatar privacy policy). After approval, your profile picture is visible with your comment. |
| Media | If you upload images, avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS); visitors can download and extract it. |
| Cookies | If you comment you may opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies for one year. Logging in sets temporary cookies for login (two days, or two weeks with “Remember Me”) and screen options (one year). Editing or publishing an article sets a cookie with the post ID that expires after one day. |
| Embedded content | Some articles include videos hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; the video then loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player, and from that point YouTube may collect data about you as if you had visited its site. This site uses no other Google services: no Google Analytics, Google Fonts, ads or maps. |
| Retention | Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically. Registered users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except their username); site administrators can also see and edit it. |
| Your rights | If you have an account or have left comments, you can ask for an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to erase it. This doesn’t include data we must keep for administrative, legal or security purposes. |
