A plaster house in the high desert.

A small, simple volume in smooth white plaster sits low on the desert floor with the mountain behind it. A timber pergola shades the entry porch, and a dry-stacked rock garden ties the house back into the land.

Inside, plaster walls, deep-set windows, built-in niches, wood doors and a wood stove keep it calm and warm. A plaster stair climbs to the roof.
